How to Vote in the June 2 Primary

• Received your ballot in the mail? Select your candidates, put the ballot in the provided envelope, sign & date it, and drop it off TODAY (June 2 at the latest) at an official drop box or vote center.
• Don't have a ballot, not registered yet, or want to vote in person? Vote at a vote center near you.

Representing your community in local government is a great service. We are seeking good candidates to support. Reach out to a club officer to learn more about the issues that Poway Democrats are passionate about, how the endorsement process works, and learn about training & other candidate support.

Your Current Representatives

City of Poway Mayor & City Council

The mayor and four city council members are elected for four-year terms, with no term limits. The mayor is elected at-large (city-wide), while the council members are elected by districts.

Poway Unified School District Board of Trustees

The Poway Unified School District covers 39 schools from Poway in the East to Del Sur in the West. The district has five voting areas. One board member is elected from each area. Areas B and E overlap with portions of the City of Poway.

San Diego County Board of Supervisors - District 2

The five county supervisors oversee a budget of $6 Billion and focus on public health & safety, elections, jails, development in unincorporated areas, and more.

CA State Assembly - District 75

The State Assembly meets at the State Capitol in Sacramento to enact laws for the State of California. It is the "lower house" of the CA State Legislature. Members are elected to 2-year terms.

CA State Senator - District 40

The State Senate meets at the State Capitol in Sacramento to enact laws for the State of California. It is the "upper house" of the CA State Legislature. Members are elected to 4-year terms.

US Congress - CA 48th District

Note that Poway returns to the 50th District as of January 2027. Your November 2026 ballot will ask you to vote for the 50th District, where Scott Peters (D) is the incumbent.
