November Meeting: Journalism in the 2nd Age of Trump

Marti Emerald will discuss how journalism has been impacted by the Trump administration and how journalists can cut through misinformation and maintain trust with the public. Ms. Emerald is a Sweetwater Union High School board member, former San Diego City Councilmember, and served as a popular broadcast journalist for KGTV from 1985 to 2007.

This will be an illuminating meeting, as we will also be voting on an endorsement request for CA Assembly District 75, electing an unprecedented 10 delegates for the California Democratic Pre-Endorsement Conference in January, and see what is going on with the Poway City Council after the Blaine Recall/Resignation.

Please note that this will be our last 2025 meeting, as will be taking our usual break in December.
